My personal enthusiasm for housing and neighborhoods began in my early twenties when I was studying Urban Planning and running a professional house painting business in Seattle. After graduating from the University of Washington with a major in Community, Environment and Planning and a minor in Geography,
I worked as an Analyst for a Berkeley-based economic development consulting firm. During that time I received formal training in comparative market analysis, financial feasibility studies, and gained a deep knowledge of the Bay Area housing market. I am a proud Berkeley homeowner and landlord excitedly awaiting the day when my toddler becomes the 4th generation in our family to attend Berkeley public schools.
